INTRODUCTION AND DEFINITIONS
In these Terms and Conditions (“Rules”), Salus House Ltd. (“the Company”) provides the Club and its facilities for the benefit of its Members. “The Club” refers to Salus House, and “Member” refers to any individual holding a valid membership. By becoming a Member, you agree to pay the applicable fees and to abide by these Rules. The Company may amend these Rules at any time without prior notice; the latest version will always be available on our website.
Salus House is committed to maintaining an inclusive environment. No Member or guest will be treated less favourably based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, belief, marital or civil partnership status, national origin, or sexual orientation.

MEMBERSHIP AND FEES
Membership is available to individuals aged twenty-three years and over. A non-refundable joining fee is payable at the time of joining. If a deposit of £50 has been paid, this will be refunded upon receipt of the first monthly payment.
Membership fees are payable monthly in advance by Direct Debit from a UK bank account. Payments are collected on the first day of each month, or the next working day. Members must ensure that their contact details remain up to date at all times.
All membership fees are reviewed annually, usually on the 1st of January, and members will be given at least one calendar month’s written notice of any changes. Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of access until payment is received in full. If fees remain unpaid for more than thirty days, the Club may demand payment in full. Continued non-payment may result in termination of membership and referral to a debt collection agency, including associated charges. Upon termination, no refunds of joining fees or unused monthly fees will be issued.
To rejoin after termination, any outstanding balances must be cleared, and a new membership agreement completed.

MEMBERSHIP ACCESS
All Members must sign in at the reception desk using their membership card when entering the Club. Failure to sign in may result in a no-show being recorded or refusal of entry. Membership cards are personal and non-transferable. Lending or sharing your card may result in termination of membership without refund. Replacement cards are available for a fee. The Club reserves the right to retain membership cards in cases of unpaid fees.

GUEST ENTRY
Guest access will be introduced in the future as an optional add-on available during off-peak hours. All guests must be accompanied by a Member and present valid identification upon entry. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests, and Salus House reserves the right to refuse guest entry at its discretion.

USE OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Members are expected to follow the Club Etiquette guidelines to maintain a respectful and safe environment. Opening hours may vary and are subject to change without notice. Certain areas or facilities, including saunas and recovery zones, may occasionally close for maintenance or events.

Only Salus House staff or authorised contractors may provide personal training services. Members should arrive ten minutes before scheduled classes; entry may be refused to late arrivals for safety reasons. Entry to the Club is permitted up to three hours before a booked class to ensure attendance is recorded.

Participation in any activity is at the Member’s own risk, and each Member should ensure that they are medically fit to exercise. Proper gym attire and clean footwear must be worn at all times. Shirts must be worn on the gym floor and in studios. Members are required to shower before using the sauna or ice baths.

Use of the sauna or ice baths is not advised for those under the influence of alcohol, during pregnancy, or for individuals with heart conditions or high blood pressure. Recommended usage is no longer than fifteen to twenty minutes at a time.
Pets are not permitted in the Club. Smoking, vaping, alcohol, and drugs are strictly prohibited. Only food purchased from the Club may be consumed on the premises. Members must not use the facilities while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Mobile phones may be used discreetly for calls in non-relaxation areas, but video calls are not permitted. Photography or filming is only allowed on the gym floor, must be discreet, and may not include other members in the frame. Professional photography equipment, tripods, and filming in changing rooms or recovery areas are strictly prohibited.
Members must treat staff and other members with respect. Abusive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. All equipment must be returned and wiped down after use. Towels, toiletries, and other Club property must remain on the premises.

LOCKERS AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Lockers are prioritised for members using the sauna and ice bath facilities. Additional storage is available in all other areas of the Club, monitored by CCTV for security. Members must empty their lockers after each visit. Items left behind will be stored for fourteen days, or forty-eight hours for wet items, before being donated to charity. The Club accepts no liability for the loss or damage of personal belongings.

LIABILITY
All activities and treatments are undertaken at the Member’s or guest’s own risk. Salus House accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage except where caused by the proven negligence of the Company or its employees. Any accident or injury must be reported immediately to the Duty Manager.

MEMBER HEALTH AND SAFETY
Members and guests confirm that they are in good health and physically capable of exercising. If under medical supervision, pregnant, or injured, members must seek medical advice before using the facilities. Members must not use the Club when suffering from contagious illnesses or open wounds.
Members should familiarise themselves with emergency exits and evacuation procedures. In the event of evacuation, lifts will be unavailable, and members must follow the instructions of staff.

DATA PROTECTION
Salus House takes data protection seriously. Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice, available at www.salus.house.

CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP
All memberships are subject to a minimum three-month commitment. Cancellations cannot be made during this initial period.
Requests to cancel must be received by the first day of the month and require one full calendar month’s notice. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to reception@salus.house. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
Membership cannot be amended during the notice period, and all payments must be up to date. No refunds will be issued for unused time or prepaid fees. Former members wishing to rejoin will be required to pay a new joining fee and settle any outstanding balances.
Salus House reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership for misconduct, unpaid fees, or behaviour deemed detrimental to the Club, staff, or other members. Expelled members forfeit all membership rights and are not entitled to any refund.

FREEZING MEMBERSHIP
Members may request to freeze their membership after completing the initial three-month term, provided all payments for that period have been made in full.

Freezing is permitted only in cases of serious medical conditions, pregnancy, injury, or other exceptional circumstances that prevent use of the Club. Appropriate proof or documentation, such as a doctor’s note or medical certificate, will be required.
A £35 monthly freeze fee will apply to maintain your membership and secure your place at the Club. During this period, Club access is suspended unless a freeze visit fee is paid.

If you choose to cancel while frozen, your membership will be terminated. To rejoin, you must complete a new membership agreement, pay the current joining fee, and, if the Club is at capacity, join the waiting list.
All freeze requests must be made in writing by email to reception@salus.house at least seven days before the intended start date. Requests cannot be applied retrospectively. Membership automatically resumes at the end of the agreed freeze period unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

CCTV
For safety and security, CCTV operates throughout the premises, excluding changing rooms. Any unlawful activity will be reviewed and may result in legal action.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Members are encouraged to provide feedback by emailing reception@salus.house or speaking to the front desk team. All feedback is reviewed by management and handled confidentially.

GENERAL
The Company may assign or transfer the benefits of the Membership Agreement to a third party without prior notice. Members may be contacted via email or SMS regarding updates, schedules, or Club information. Members should vacate the sauna and recovery areas twenty minutes before closing to allow sufficient time for showering. The Club may close temporarily for maintenance or refurbishment as required.
